Looking for something fun? Try out UO Divinity. Recapture the essence of true online gaming with people who wish to do the same. UO Divinity is hosted by the founders of RunUO the software that made the UO Free shard community. This shard is here to stay and with their upgrade to 2.0 theres never been a better time to start.

Have fun dungeon crawling for magical weapons, skilling up your fighting skills, and looting gold. You can achieve so much on this server with its great economy, buy that 2story or large tower you never got on OSI.

Engage in epic battles or become a ruthless PK. You may also choose to participate in shard events like a good game of CTF or Bombing Run.

This server is a T2A era shard what this means is no trammel, and no neons. There is also no mounts for the betterment of PVP. The shard is coded for a faster skill gain on PVE/PVP skills. Taming and crafting skills are slower for the elite players and to uphold the economy of player made items.

The game masters are very professional and are always in IRC to help answer your questions along with the rest of the community, who are very helpful themselves.

Need Help? Go check the UO Divinity forums for guides, Trading forum for selling your wares, and up to date information on whats going on with the shard.
Come join us at UO Divinity you wont be disappointed. |

| WoW, upcoming games, and my thoughts. |

WoW's (World of Warcraft) launch was the greatest launch in gaming by far when you look at in
the manner it was hyped up and its almost flawless release. Now a couple of years after release
WoW's player base equal about every other MMoRPG's player bases combined. If you look at
every MMO that has come out since WoW's release you can easily see that they have had little
to no success. Which has to make one wonder, what will it take for a new game to come out and
be successful?
With AoC (Age of Conan) and WAR (Warhammer Online) both scheduled for release in 08 do
they have a chance to be successful against a powerhouse like WoW? Both have some features
that will draw players to play but will it keep the players playing? A game is defined by the
content and features it has, a MMO takes that same philosophy but is also defined by the
players.
Age of Conan is a game i believe does have a chance to be successful with it's unique
features that include a non targeting combat system that seems awesome with being able to hit
multiple targets depending on you attack and how many people you are facing with your
character. It also uses a First person shooter type system for sniping as an archer. Another great
feature is the city building for guilds that provide a great atmosphere for guildies to place houses
and grow as a community. I haven't seen a feature like that since Shadowbane the only downfall
of this feature is it can only be attacked by NPC's, hopefully this will change to allow PC's to
attack and take over.I predict that this game will be the game for true PvPer's
Warhammer Online is another game which will succeed during release just by the hype its
getting from everyone. on the other hand all i see from beta journals and friends that got into
beta is that its basically WoW with different classes. Which i guess inst such a bad thing but
players already have that type of game play in Wow. I believe we need something different. With
beta being taken down and the release moved back i have doubts on how good this game will be.
I know the it will have a huge release player base just based on the 20 year or so old community,
hell look at SWG that engine and release was horrible but the Starwars franchise was so big that
it's still alive even though the devs butchered the shit out of it ( combat upgrade anyone? ).
World of Warcraft has had it's fair share of problems in balance and loot, yet it still strives
even with a horrible expansion. All these problems had good intentions even the player base loved
it, then its like 2 months would pass bye when the player base took full advantage of it, then all
hell would break loose. The good thing that i admire about blizzard it that they recognize the
mistakes they've made and they tell the community, hey we fucked up and we are going to fix it.
Now i know that they usually fuck it up worse but at least there listening to the community.
my personal problems with WoW probably shared with tons of other players. to start off let
me say that the battlegrounds are mind numbingly boring and becoming useless. The fun factor is
gone and the past few months have shown in the que menu with very little bgs to play. The
arenas system which don't get me wrong, it is fun as hell
but with the addition of Resilience added to the game it makes a PVE geared character useless
which in my eyes separated the game almost like a trammel affect. There pvp battlegrounds and
arena's killed the funnest for of pvp which is world pvp. i hope with the expansion they can light a
fire under world pvp, and stay away from the ideas they did with Burning crusade cause the pvp
objectives there are a fucking joke. I would suggest do somthing like DAoC did with Darkness Falls
for whoever controls the most towers controls a zone in which good loot drops. just my thought
from a pvper at heart. |
